Everything about this brush is nice Tom.  What loft did you end up setting the knot to?  It's bloomed nicely.

I went with a 50mm +/- loft.  Probably as low as I'd go with this knot.  A lot of backbone, but delightfully soft.  I might raise it to 52 mm and see how that works as well.

Thanks again for the nice comments!

This evening I received a package in the mail from Tom, and inside found the brush pictured below. Tom set one of Bernd's 2-band knots into his custom handle to produce this 26mm x 52mm beauty. I will upload some post-bloom photos this weekend after I have the opportunity to put it to use.

While I do not name my brushes I was thinking this particular brush may require a name reflective of the two artisans that made it possible. The Wreckmac? The Shavewreck? Maybe I will just have to stick with amazing....

Thank you so much for your generosity, Tom!

wreckmac!  I like it.

Glad the brush arrived safely and I'm looking forward to some post bloom shots. The knot is so nice I had a hard time packing it up and shipping it off!  Smile I'm glad I could acknowledge Michael's contributions to the community (how many years have I been reading poonjaji sponsored tour threads??) with this small gesture.

Excellent, Tom!  Indeed, your fantastic and generous gift is still just a fraction of the value Michael's tours and own gifts have brought to our community.  Michael, you are one lucky man!

Oh, and I agree - Wreckmac!  Thumbup

Added a TGN fan knot to my walnut and black trim handle.  Really enjoying it.

VERY NICELY Done, Tom!  We don't all have the luxury of 3D printing, but you've certainly got the design and prototyping process down pat!

Congratulations.

The wood handle with white resin is an incredibly attractive brush! The handle shape is quite unique and its minimalist, clean look is very appealing.
