I see the same happening to me... Either a 26mm or 30mm hybrid in faux horn.

Mine have been sitting on the shelf after their trial periods.   Other new acquisitions pushed them aside.   Now I'll have to pull them out again.   I have three, a 30mm finest bulb, a 26mm finest barber handle, and a 30mm silvertip fan.

I have been hesitant about ordering anything as large as 30mm.  Do those that own this size brush find it overly large?  Does the size matter based on if it is a bulb or fan shape?

So, in other words, does a bulb shape allow for a larger size than what a fan would for maximum functionality?

Thanks!
Steve

I didn't find the 30 mm too large, although it still is a large brush. The loft is set pretty low, 48 mm I think, so it doesn't splay too much.

The fan did seem a bit larger but not by much and I used both for face lathering without issues.
I preferred the fan shape so I sold the bulb to a friend.

You can't really go wrong with either one. Hope this helps.

A fan will by nature feel slightly larger than a bulb knot. The bulb shape keeps the knot more compact, while a fan gives more of a face feel. I have had a fan 2-band and still have a 3-band Silvertip in a bulb.

It looks like a nice brush.  We'll look forward to your comments once you use it.

Very well done comparison, I own both of this brushes and they’re not too far from each other (except price and hand made details).
