I just finished this restoration a little beauty a true minature straight razor, the 3/8 Baby wedge  weighs in at a mighty 14 grams as a cutting edge of 2 inches I have heard say they may have been produced for Ladies not sure if this is true or not? The razor as been honed and took a fantastic little edge and is as shave ready, here's the before and after shot's plus a picture along side my Japanese full hollow 13/16.

Great restoration Jamie.  4/8 is the smallest straight I've used.  That 3/8 looks ideal for the upper lip area.

It it a corn razor. You heard right. They were used to cut corns or bunions off (the feet). Ouch!

It's definitely not a corn razor I've seen enough of them through the years to tell the difference they usually have a small section on the tang to stop the blade fully opening, plus the ones that open have a knife style blade.

Nice restoration!  I have a small razor like that which I haven't tried shaving with yet.

Mine says "Young Man's Idol" on the blade.  I wondered if it was a kids first razor.

Here's another tiny razor I once owned just over 3/8 absolutely stunning razor the quality and grind was the finest i've ever seen you could flex the edge easily with one finger.

Here's one for you Jamie,

It's a Hayashi Diamond with a 2" edge and near 6/8 width asymmetric kamisori grind. Being 6/8 and a heavy grind, it weighs in at a hefty 50g despite having a 2" edge. The tang and monkey tail are normally sized.

It will also shave the barbs off a barb wire fence...

Cheers, Steve

I love short straights. I only have a Boker that was broken and someone did a bit of work to make the blade usable again. When I got it I shortened the scales to fit it. Shaves lovely; would love to have another.
Great looking blades, gentlemen.

Nice Restore.
I've got a little SSA 4/8 that is a good little shaver.  Great around the nose and upper lip
