Rory, thanks for sharing.  If you're like me, you'll quickly find a sweet spot with the razor and find it very intuitive and easy to use.  Although efficient, I don't consider the razor overly aggressive.  Enjoy the ride!

I skipped shaving yesterday -- an indication of how close Friday's shave was/
Today's outing was again a remarkably efficient two passes plus touch-up.
Again I drew a little blood, but just a couple of small pinpricks as opposed to Friday's nicks.

I used the Mason Boutique Moroccan Sunset soap. That scent really projects -- kind of like Nuavia -- and the lather was very good.

Finished up with Lúcido splash. My wife is visiting her family in Japan now, and I have to ask her to get some more.
It's my favorite among the Japanese aftershaves.

All in all, excellent results today with the Paradigm.

Good review/report. I'm still impressed each time I use the Paradigm… I too don't need to shave every day when I use it.

Another couple of shaves in, and I'm pleased to report: not even a single pinprick.
Much of it is surely familiarity. I had thought that the Astra blade might have been easier on my face on the third shave, but I switched to a KAI today and things were just fine.

Same story with efficiency too.

The variety of soaps in the box remains a very pleasant feature of this tour.
Yesterday I used the Asylum Royal Fougère and today it was the Klar Kabinett. Both were terrific.
So nice to try things without having to add to a stockpile that is already going to see me through at least a few years!

I intend to send the box along to skinny rogers on Friday.

My time on the tour has ended, and the Paradigm is on its way to North Carolina along with the soaps and blades. ETA: Monday.
I tossed in a couple of samples of MG5 balm from Japan (small jar and bottle in the bag with the blades).
It's a drugstore item, not high end, but it's something you can't get here.
It should provide several post-shave applications.

Thanks once again to Billy for giving us this privilege. It made for a fun and varied week of shaving.
The soaps were a big part of it...but the eye-opener for me was the most humble of the lot, La Toja cream.

Am I rushing out to drop $395 on this razor? It is a superb implement, but that's too big a ticket for me.
Nonetheless, I will say without hesitation that it's one of the best and most effective razors I've had the pleasure of using.

According to USPS, the box has made it to Skinny Rogers' place of business!

Overall build quality looks very good.

I actually really like the handle and it's larger than it looks in the pics.

I look forward to the shave in the morning.
