Impressive.  Can i assume a hard working & clever badger does not always equate to good hair?

I assume there is a valid reason for not "buying American" when it comes to badger shaving brushes.

They work very hard. The hair gets too tough. Chinese badgers otoh sit around all day eating bonbons, which causes their fur to soften.

Now you know.
