Purchased a sample pack from Try-a-Blade. Some good, some ok.

Because they are not marked, like DE are, and I'm too lazy to log them....please just tell me what you find the smoothest...I know...MMMV...

Thanks.

I've only tried feather pros because they are quite nice with that particular razor. I'd imagine Kai captain regulars and sharps would perform well too but I don't see the justification for the price. I'd imagine the Kai mild is a bit too mild as it was in the mongoose, and the general is a touch less aggressive than the mongoose. Just my .02 but of course YMMV

Feather Pro is my top choice in the General.

Feather Pro are the way to go.

I have tried Kai Captain Mild and regular. Also have tried Feather Pro Super.

I never tried any of the guard blades.

Feather Pro is consistent and reliable. They last for a long time too. Everything else is technique.

I preferred Feather Pro Super.  Smooth, and closer than the others.

The pro super was harsh for me.  I will try another pro super soon to confirm.

I don't have a general, though the ATT SE1 is pretty mild. While I like pro's, I love pro-supers.

My experience has been that the Feather Pros work just fine in all but the mildest of these razors. If I load a Pro Super into a General or SE1 I can feel the blade more, I'm more likely to end up with weepers and/or irritation, the shave is harsh . . . but not any closer than with the Pro.

The Pro Super only worked for me in an Alumigoose 2, which I consider the mildest of the AC blade razors.
