My last tube of Speick cream I bought was minus it's old familar salmon color. My question is, is the same true for the shave stick?

Nobody knows? It's not a deal breaker so I'll buy another stick to grate and add to my bowl but I sure did like that old color. Come to think of it, and this might be all in my mind brought on by the color change, but I sometimes feel that there's a little change in the fragrance as well.

I have always had the salmon colored sticks. Have never seen any other way.

I read somewhere that took something out of it that made it that color to make it natural. I've noticed to the package kind of changed. It's supposed to be the same.

If a formula change was made, I doubt they'd admit it, the last tubes of Speick I bought was 2012, time to pick up anther 2 or 3 now that I've finished ~45 tubes of Coates (on re-order, I love this SC)... I suspect Tabac SC was changed as well, denied by Maurer & Wirtz.  When dispensing some Tabac SC for my shaves, it's not as yellow or oily as in the past, and the lather is closer in appearance & feel of most others now, I'll "stick" with the Tabac sticks now.

I love Coates too... I have quite a backup supply that I don't think I'll ever use up (though it looks like you use it almost exclusively and have gone through a LOT of them!  Nice work!)

I used Coates Rose, and the Lime this week.
I can't BELIEVE how slick the Lime was when I used it... definitely as slick as or slicker than any lather I've made/used in quite a long time.
Not sure if I did something different with the Rose but I didn't get that same slickness, and I had a tingling face afterwards (but I think all rose scents do that to me, I just haven't come to terms with it yet Sad  )

Yes, the SC has definitely changed.  The OP is asking if the soap stick also changed color (?) .

I didn't pick up a stick, should have though, bought 4 more Palmolive & 4 more LEA sticks.

I wasn't too fond of the Coates Rose scent, and the performance wasn't up to that of the Almond, Lavender or Sandalwood, in that order for performance only... I have three tubes of the lime stuffed in a 4oz double wall plastic jar, still has the cream consistency.  The nicest Rose I've used was AOS Rose SC, bought 8 tubs when they stopped making them.  The last two firmed up to soft soap/ Stirling consistency, IMO it lathered nicer as a soft soap, and the scent improved, softer, but more noticeable during the lather & shave... shame they quit making it.

Ok, I have two on the way... probably Saturday, Phil ships quick. Icon_popcorn

I wish I had the chance to use the Rose from AoS, but was discounted before I started using these products.
If they brought it back I'd be in for sure.

I think it's just a color change, if someone has an old stick, or cream, I'll compare it to the cream I have and the sticks which were shipped today.

I received two Spieck sticks from Bullgoose yesterday, they're Salmon color, but depending on when the SC color change was made and if the stick was included, they may be old stock.  My next Euro- Vendor order will include another Spieck stick for verification, won't be til August.

I may be succumbing to the power of suggestion but i could swear my white Speick cream smells slightly different from the old salmon colored one.
Oh well, everything changes eventually.

As long as I'm here, I have to ask - in as much as I've used both the AS splash and the shave cream - enjoyed them both very much (especially the splash) - but it's been a while and... I've forgotten how to pronounce the name? Is it pronounced like 'Spike' or like 'Speak'? Thanx.

I believe it is SH pike. At least that is how I heard a number of Germans (some knew of the product and some who had not seen it before) would say it.
