After trying the Seygus ,Colonel SE and Standard Razor Aluminum razors and the Paradigm Ti one,I have realized that I prefer them over some other more heavier models in brass or stainless steel. When I first tried the Standard razor and the Colonel , realized that I dont like my razors to be as light as some bakelite ones , but they didnt have tome more than 50 grams to convince me (of course, those two , shaves me extremely well).

What about you , gents ? Prefer heavy razors (over 4 oz), medium ones (between 2.5 and 3.5oz) or even lighter ones ?

In your review of the Paradigm I made a similar statement. I prefer a medium weight razor over one too heavy or too light. That is why I'm curious about the Paradigm, since it is made out of titanium. I then saw a posting about RazoRock bringing out a Titanium DE razor for under $100 and that peaked my interest even more. Looks like affordable, high quality titanium razors may be coming.

Yes I am the same. My Wolfman Ti (with wrh7 habdle) is perfect. It feels very nimble, but enough weight to let the razor do its thing. Heavy stainless razors feel clumsy to me now and I don't enjoy going back to them.

So far I like the heft of my Merkur 38C. I chose that as my "return to DE" razor after noting how long the handles were on my Fusions and how I was use to holding those razors. After 3 months I find that I still like the weight but have choked up on the handle quite a bit. Thinking about options for a second razor and not sure which direction I might go.
Always looking for suggestions from folks on here.

I am starting to like a combination of a heavier SS head and a Ti handle. Me preferred combos are: WM OC + Stork Ti Diplomat, WM SB + UFO Titan, and Weber PH + Stork Ti Diplomat.

I feel that I am still on the road to find the best. I have been on both sides and I think that the aggressiveness of the razor and the type of blade that we prefer here has an important role, in fact I think that the weight of the razor comes after Choice of blade. Knowing me during 2017 will change 2 or 3 times of opinion. Bye

Doesn't matter much to me. After a shave or two I adapt.

Adapt and the best are two different things, adapt We all do, What medicine. But the question I think is more sensitive than this.[Image: 40ab69beca7ef17d885e18f164d8745e.jpg]

I'm really liking the titanium handle sourced from RazoRock. It's a good match to the Rockwell 6C.

I prefer my more mild razors to be light and more efficient razors to be heavy. But I lean towards the lighter razors.

I do not enjoy heavy razors whatsoever.
My best razors have been mass produced Mühle R89 and Merkur 34c, so medium (IME) is my preferred.
(Vintage Gillette SS are light, IME)

I like "Goldilocks razors"; not too heavy and not too light. A British Aristocrat in Rhodium!

I like the balance of an Old Type or NEW Long Comb with the stock ball end handles.  For me, they're perfect.  The Fat Handle Tech is beautiful but I think the handle is too light for the head.  I've been planning to fill one (or just add some to the bottom third or so) with tungsten putty and see if I can re-balance it to be more like the ball end handles.

Heavy and aggressive, I like razors that can kick your ass if you don't pay attention.... but I'm kinda sick like day

More than 125g or so is just silly. Featherweight Bakelite DE razors and light Injectors can be great shavers. Don't need no overpriced hipster stainless.
