Congratulations on two great Paladins.  By the way, I place 28mm Chiefs at the top of my hierarchy of Paladin brushes.

I too love the Chief. Mine is a 26mm CSLE4 in Ken's sweet ivory stock.

When I've looked to purchased a Paladin I usually looked at the 26's, Chiefs, PK 47s, El Dorado's and Lotus's. Then I became brave and made a trade, a 26 for a 28 and low and be hold I really like it. Well I'm very proud to say that I've expanded my horizons and have purchased 4 more 28's. Now I feel like a pretty worldly dude.

Below is Chief 28, 55 x 51, Neptune (2CSLI4). The handle heights I like are between 55-60 the 28 Chief is a little bit larger, a 64, it feels good and it's beautiful. The knot in this brush started off with minor tip presence after 8 lathering's the brush settled in producing soft tip presence with very nice medium backbone.

Beautiful brush. The Chief is a very ergonomic shape, and I like that lather is a bit less likely to spill onto my hand.

I’d love to obtain a tortoise El Dorado with gold engraving (like your modifications). I’m also on the lookout for a beehive in ivory, somerset, or lemon drop.

I really like the PK-47 28mm size and handle. Just added the Krakatoa version. I was too late for the Vesuvio...

Church and skipping lunch with cocktails obviously helped.  My other "must have" is PK-47 in Purple Haze (HINT HINT).

Sorry, that Vesuvius PK-47 shouldn't have been included in the preview. I owed someone a brush from a trade last summer, and that one went toward squaring us up.

Here are a few pics of the brushes I scored from the previous release. The Neptune material is trippy:

Bummer, Ken. I really had set my eyes on that one. But there will be another time...  Smile
