In early May, we will be traveling out of our home state for 10 days.  I only want to take one soap with me.  I normally rotate evenly through all my soaps, never using the same one two days in a row.  Now I'm thinking  about which one soap to bring along.  What would be your choice if you had to take one soap on a ten-day trip?

Mystic Water Vetiver & Oakmoss shaving stick.  Not only “would,” but did.  That was the only shaving soap that I carried along (with a L'Occitane Plisson brush in a tube) on a trip of similar length trip to Bucket List destination Atsumi Onsen in southwestern Yamagata Prefecture last October, and it served me very well.

I would use T&S Classic or Rainforest, SV Stella Alpina, or else Speick if you want to use a cream in a tube.

March Madness had me using 1 only for 30 days.
Last month on a 7 day trip I ended up not shaving due to a sunburn.

When I started shaving, I used Tabac alone for like 3 to 5 months. I probably can do that again, fantastic performaner and I love the scent.

Tough question - any of Mike's natural soaps or if a stick makes sense: Valobra, Tabac or Irish Moos.

I am enjoying CRSW Sandalwood a lot these days. This or any Sandalwood soap as SW is more of a naturally occurring scent and is sublime. Hopefully you won't get bored.

Whenever I travel I always take a stick of Harris Lavender soap.  Most of my trips are 2 weeks or longer and I never tire of my Harris stick.

On a recent two-week trip, I took only my Cold River Soap Works Citron shaving soap (and its matching aftershave) with me. That worked out fine, but I think any of my soaps or creams that come in reasonably-sized (i.e., they fit in a dopp kit) and non-breakable containers would do the job too.

+1. Has to be AoS tallow or Czech & Speak.

I keep a shave stick in my GoBag, but learned the hard way that not all soaps like hard water... Whatever you end up bringing, make sure it works well with the water where you're going.

Mike's Natural Hungarian Lavender. If I didn't want the Lavender (if traveling in winter, for example) then CRSW Select Sandalwood.

Something luxurious... I like unscented 99% of the time nowadays. I've narrowed my favorites down to these. For a hard soap, AoS tallow or Valobra, or for a soft soap, B&M white label which sadly is no longer being produced.

Enjoy your trip Smile

La Toja - small, neat and practical form factor, fantastic slick lather and always reliable in varying water conditions. I hate suggesting this over my great favorite Tabac, though!
