Question for all the ladies out there. After you shave your legs, do you apply an aftershave balm or splash? If so, what would you choose?

My wife is finally getting into wet shaving with her Lady Gillette, and today I gave her some of my skin food to try out. Well, skin food lasts a while on your face... but it would be decimated very quickly if I continue to let her use it!

Go with a regular lotion, cream or body butter of choice.

I'll grab her some. She absolutely loves the skin food, but that could get expensive!

Thanks Krissy!

Glad to help Justin. Ladies legs are a lot different than a mans face when it comes to shaving and post care. So find something she likes and will want to use. There are lots of choices these days!

I use all kinds of lotions and potions after shaving. Krissy is right. Our legs are a bit different. I am fond of PdP AS Balm, along with several others. I also like splashes. Lilac Vegetol (Master's brand), and some of the artisan created ones in scents I enjoy are fun too. Chances are, if she has a fav EdT/cologne, there is a body lotion available that matches.

Justin, since she likes the Geo. F. Trumper Skin Food (great stuff, by the way) then it seems to me you already have her birthday, anniversary, or holiday gift already picked out. Smile

Another one you might consider is Tabac. I gave mine to my wife and she loved it.

OP mentions the expense of Trumper skin food. Please note that the 500ml bottle costs half as much per ml as does the 100ml bottle. So $60 for a year, or $5 a month, is that expensive? You can get the 500ml bottle at West Coast Shaving, and probably other places too.

You may want to consider Unrefined Shea Butter. It is a fantastic moisturizer and she will probably love it, in my opinion.

I may get her a small bottle and we'll see how long it lasts. I'm estimating it'll last a few weeks. Just by judging the amount of mine that she used in one shot, I don't think it'd be the economical way to go. It will make for a great special occasion gift though!

What scent is the Tabac? I will look into that, thank you.

Who's usage are you figuring you're numbers on? I could see 500ml lasting a couple months tops for her. For me... well, I could get a few years out of that. Then again, I don't shave my legs.
