Good Day Gent's

Took a few months but finally received my 7/8's Custom Koraat from Urlik at Koraat thru Martin at Rasurpur, have not shaved with it yet but the HHT is a solid 4/5

It's not any specific stamped out mass produced razor, pretty simple design with lower jimping, worked spine, somewhat of a Spanish point in 7/8's size with Grenadilla Burl scales.

I've read only good comments about Koraats. Seems like the razors are made with great attention to detail.
Enjoy your new beauty.

The Koraat was not up next in my normal rotation but could not resist and glad I did as the shave was superb and this one is going to be a favorite.

Eric,

Shave was excellent, I believe Martin from Rasurpur ensured the edge was shave ready and it was perfect, workmanship on this piece is truly on a perfectionist level with attention to detail on everything.

Steve,

Sorry I just noticed this, it's what I would call a belly grind and is a full hollow, it actually looks like it has a super wide bevel but the bevel is actually very thin and even and only a few mm's wide, there honestly is no weight to it and it was sold as a 7/8's but really is a 15/16".

Blade has a slight smile and that is ok as I honestly prefer that even though a rolling X is what it takes to maintain the edge but I doubt it will need any touchup anytime soon as it only gets used about once every two weeks and I have 15 striaghts in rotation and then use a vintage DE/SE on Sundays with Old Spice so that will work out to be about 20+ times a year it gets used so unless I really pull a dumb move and mess up the edge it should be goot to go for a long while.

Ulrik does exceptional work and he does all work in house and it's all done by him and his wife with the exception of some of the hardware which he outsources and strickly monitors QC and all parts like the nickel bolsters are designed by him and stuff like the file work is done by his wife, its really an exceptional razor with great attention to detail and a high standard of quaility and he is so easy to work with.

Steve,

You would not regret your decision to get a razor from Ulrik at Koraat, the razors are priced higer than a mass produced Aust, Boker or Revisor but the quaility and attention to detail is exceptional, mniemann thaks for the comment and yes it really is a gorgeous razor and currently is the center of my small collection.
