Have you noticed any difference between these two finishes on your razors?

I'm assuming you are talking about the feel while shaving and referring to stainless steel razors.

Well, I have seen 3 loose types of finishes: polished, machined (a natural) and matte (coated or bead blasted).

In my opinion, yes there is a slight difference. The smoother the finish, the smoother it glides on your face. In my opinion, the differences are just not that significant.

To me I find no difference. Glide comes from prep, shave cream/soap,blade used and what type of beard you have.

I have matte and polished and I don't notice a difference in performance. I like the looks of both. The matte is a little easier to keep clean though.

Although I have mostly polished razors, I find the difference in performance on the matte or machined razors' is negligible.

For me the difference is one of cosmetic preference, and does not affect performance.
