Well I joined up here about a month or so ago but never properly introduced myself. I stay in sunny southern California and I have been wet shaving for about 10 years now. I am a member at B&B and just until recently I stepped away from the forums, and was out of the loop for about 4 years. In that time I didn’t buy any new products and went through just about everything I had (it was a modest collection). Shaving became pretty mundane I suppose, only I didn’t realize it at the time. I only used my Muhle R41 and rotated through about 6 brushes.
Since coming back I have been reinvigorated! I’m blow away by the amount of products there are now in every facet of shaving. I sure have missed out on a lot since I have been gone. I have been on a small rampage lately trying to get up to speed with everything going on now. It was nice to come back and see a lot of familiar faces that were around when I got started. Phil at Bullgoose helped guide through one of my first purchases in years and recommended some products. His shop is only about ten minutes away from my house and the St James of London Clarysage he suggested became an instant favorite.
I started poking around the Internet and came across The Shave Nook when I was looking into a Paladin LE that was for sale on the BST at B&B (which by the way I’m on the hunt for) I really like the small group feel here and have had some pleasant interactions with some of the members here purchasing some things on the BST. All in all I like it here.
I tell you there should be another name for what goes on around here on the forums other than “wet shaving.” I did that for four years. What we do here is on a different level and I hope I never step away again.
