Did I break some-sort of rule?

No, it was a heads up to anyone else that would be posting an answer to your question.

Okay...

So, if something I asked could get someone else into trouble, then, I feel bad for having asked it.

I recently picked up two brands of blades to try in the Weber. One being Kai and the other Polsilver. Well I've got the Polsilver in there for the past six days and those have been six great shaves and it is still going. I think I might have found a better blade than the GSB. And I haven't even tried the Kai yet.

I tried Kais in my Weber. They were too rough for me.

Do these blades ever stop shaving? Today was my 10th use on the blade and it's still going strong, actually the shave gets better after the first few shaves! To think I used to throw blades away after 3 uses.

If I were to ever run out of my beloved Gillettte Platinums - unlikely, GSB would be my next choice.  Sharp and smoothe, my skin just likes Gillette's

I have read some recent posts about counterfeit GSB's. Caveat Emptor. Buy from a known and trusted source, even if a tad more expensive.

I gave my friend Ace 4 of these blades, and he praised them a Lot.

Is this really a thing? I don't get why someone would counterfeit de razor blades, there pretty inexpensive, I don't get how it would be worth it.

Not worth their price, IMHO. I'm a big fan of Gillette's DE blades and in fact, every blade I like is manufactured by them, be it Polsilver, Astra or Gillette Sharp Edge, Super Platinum, Super Stainless or Silver Blue. Only exception is the occasional use of a Feather.

The Silver Blues are, like the Super Platinum, considerably more expensive than the Sharp Edge (yellows) and Super Stainless (greens). Do they perform that much better?. No, in my experience. In fact, they don't perform any better than the "yellows". They're not sharper nor smoother. The "greens" are a tad less sharp but I find them smoother, perfect for daily shaves. Personally, I'm better off with the "yellows" than with the SB.

I shaved with GSB's this morning on a two pass shave. While I have been on a artist club SE kick since around December I used a GSB while on vacation recently and have fallen back in love with DE because of it. For me GSB are my go to blade, and was love at first shave. No matter what blades I try I always end up going back to them.

Pm sent.

I recommend them to friends as the best all around blade. However, they dont work that great in my Timeless. Go figure

GSB are my favorite. One reason is they work well in every DE razor I have used.

GSBs are #2 or #3 behind my Polsilvers.  Good blades - but not Polsilvers.

Wow! What a great blade. I used a GSB for the first time today. It was smooth and sharp.
The blade was sharp enough to cut my thick, coarse hair with days of Stubble. Yet, it was smooth enough to not give me any cuts or razor burn.
I think its better than Gillette 7'o click sharp edge, and will be buying some more packages of the blade.

This is surely a VMMV issue...
I did my own study; one month of only Gillette Blades
GSB
7 O'clock Yellow
7 O'clock Black
For me it was yellow's by a mile.

Where am I now blade wise??? Merkur 38C/POLSILVER, numero uno for me
