I picked up a couple really nice looking SEs online this weekend, a Ever Ready Shovel Head and a cased/boxed GEM Junior Brass. Now the wait begins to get these in the mail and to determine if I am indeed a LOSER.

Man, there goes the price of SEs through the roof now. Oh wait, never mind, they don't say Gillette so they're still affordable. Welcome to LOSERville! Tongue

Good deal BladeDE40...

I just tried SE for the first time this past weekend, got an incredibly nice 1912 Model Eveready with lightning fast shipping from Churchilllafemme (Thanks again John) on the Nook's Selling & Trading section.I'm starting with the GEM Personna SS Blades that Walgreen's Drugstores sell.

Honestly,I was skeptical: I always had felt SE razors were goofy looking archaic paint scrapers on a stick....Two shaves in,I'm amazed at what a blast it is to use and how highly effective yet smooth it was.Got to say that "buttering toast" feedback sound is addictive and helped me get in the zone quickly.

Good luck with the bug you caught, hope you post some pics and let us know how it goes.

That's what went through my mind after reading Razorxs post Brian. What are we doing !? Wink

There's plenty out there to feed the addiction. Anyway, I have what I want, pretty much. Thought I wanted a Streamline, but it'll be too mild for me. I don't want one just to have it.

SE's are a nice change from a DE,I think most are slightly more elegant looking than most razors. They do require a bit of different technique.I use mine about 35% of the time.
