So I sent Will an email on Thursday night and no response...

I placed an order Friday, no response no shipping info (which I get since it's the weekend).

What's the typical delivery window?

Do you know if they offer custom engraving for the regular folks? I want to get my name on mine.

I liked my TSN LE Slider so much that I ordered a copper Glider.  I placed my order around 9:00 a.m. my time on Friday morning, which would have been 7:00 a.m. for Will.  He shipped the order Friday afternoon.  I opted for Priority Mail, and USPS tracking indicates I should get the pen Monday.  If you order was placed later on Friday, it may not get shipped until Monday.

Thanks for the info! Yes it was late on Friday so I don't expect it to ship until Monday.

I am, however, disappointed that my email went unanswered from Thursday.  Perhaps he's busy.

I have thus far found him to not be a good communicator or have good customer service. I have been unable to get a response or solution to problems with the order he sent me.

Actually it would have been 8:00AM his time.  He is on CST so there is only one hour difference between FL and TX.

You are correct Johnny.  I assumed Texas was on MST and it's actually CST.

My copper Glider arrived yesterday.  I've been using the TSN LE Slider and the new Glider for the past two days to see if I have a preference for the shorter Slider or longer Glider.

Jose, until I saw the third photo in your post, I didn't realize that the clip is engraved on the inside with "Tactile Turn 2017."  I wonder how many other guys had not noticed the engraving.

The Damascus and Zirconium both look amazing.

As part of the amazing care package Phil of BullGoose sent me, I received a Tactile Turn Slider.

It's a pen that is a somewhat radical departure from what I usually write with, I tend to be a mechanical pencil and disposable ballpoint kind of writer... and the Tactile Turn Slider is a beautifully machined and heavy piece of brass.

Interesting points to note:
  • The box it came in is the same kind of box I usually see machinist drill bits and reamers come in, which makes a lot of sense since it comes from a machinists
  • The seam between the upper and lower portions of the barrel is not noticeable until you unscrew the pen
  • The tolerances of the moving parts are so fine that the top cap acts as a pneumatic buffer when you close the pen, thus stopping the parts from slamming
  • The clip is significantly stronger than expected, something I believe will help the pen stay put in my pocket
I'm planning to use the Tactile Turn as my my not taking pen the next few weeks as I attend a class, and will report back later with more impressions.

Thanks for posting your thoughts Hans.  It is indeed a great writing instrument which will last a lifetime.  You're correct about the seam between the two parts being invisible, which shows how precise the machining is.  When I first got the pen I thought it was a one-piece body and tried to unscrew the top cap.  The top cap does unscrew, but it's secured by Loctite, as is the bolt.

We'll look forward to your report after you've used the Slider for a while.
