Torolf from Scrupleworks offered this hardware several years ago and it always intrigued me as it's different, well recently he decided to offer it again, actually he has dropped his leather handles and went to this new hardware, a tad bit different for those that prefer barber ends or tufted or 2/3 ply handles as it's more modern looking but make doubt about it the ergonometics of using it is very comfortable.
So here are a few pics of the new leather and update Den:

Ron you've got my interest I'm very hard to please when it comes to strops, the draw on the Kanayama 80000 is perfection for me and one I judge all strops by all contenders so far have fallen at round one.

The leather on the strop from Torolf is very thin and it seems to almost suck the bevel to it, it's initally loud but softens with use, the linen is very soft and supple, hard to beat a Kanayama, i have the 70 and it will be the last one i ever need especially since i have 4 more ( TM Fast Bridle, Spanish Leather and Oil Tanned ) ( Rasurpur Paddle ) and Jamie I have several strops coming in from Alastair and one is a Cordovan so will let you know how it feels.

Richard,
I purchased one of his oil tanned with leather handles several years and really beat it hard so i figured it was time to get one to baby and now have several from Kanayama, Tony Miller, Torolf, Martin from Rasurpur and also have several being made by Alastair with Westholme so I should be covered for awhile.

Richard,
It's just another rabbit hole and it gives me a chance to try out those Artisans products that make these wonderful necessary tools, honestly one can make do with newspaper print folded over a towel bar in a pinch, trust me i have tried this and it works.
