With the impending release of the bronze knob Mergress razor and Mergress shaving brushes, we felt it was time for Mergress to have their own logo to help differentiate the brand from Merkur.  We hired a graphic artist and went through several iterations before coming up with a logo that resonates with both of us. Please take a look at the rough draft and let us know what you think.  Keep in mind, this is just a rough draft.

Nice looking Logo.  Each has merits - I like the bottom logo slightly better as more "razor like."

Lookin great, Phil. I like both but give the top one a bit of an "edge". Wink

Nice! I like the two-tone top one a bit more as well.

I like the blue in the top logo, as it picks up the blue dot on the Mergress. The bottom monochrome reads more readily as an 'M'.

I've been looking at these throughout the day, trying to decide which I like better.  They're both nice and you'll be doing well with either one.  I'll go with the top one with the blue.

The monochrome look has an industrial feel. In a razor that's not necessarily a bad thing. The blue feels "sterile." It does not stir my interest. The all gray takes familiarity and traditionalism and brings them to modern times while respecting the gestalt of yesteryear. The blue tries to thrust itself upon me.

When I scan them quickly, it's the blue/grey combo that catches my eye. The all grey version is too subtle for my tastes.

Those are both SHARP images Phil
The two tone is more eye-catching and my first reaction was yessssss. The comment about the gray being more razor like struck me as very valid. Maybe using two different shades of grey would preserve the razor/industrial feel and give it a bit more punch. Still if I had to pick right now; it's still the blue/grey.

Thank you Ron. I keep finding myself flip flopping between the two. The two shades of grey may be a good idea...I'll have to ask the graphic artist to give me a visual.

I like both, but I think the two tone gray is a good idea, with the second gray being closer to silver.

Okay. I was wrong and have changed my mind. I saw the logo on the BG website. It looks good. Better in actual use on a product than it does in the mere two dimensionality of the www.
