After the success of the Semogue foroafeitado LE 2016 , the shavemac LE foroafeitado 2017 is on its way. This time made by Bernd Blos , of shavemac. Two handles to choose from , Colonia N1 in black with a white ring , and Americana in black and white. To work with Bernd is always a pleasure and I think he has done a great job with these handles.Silvertip two band , finest and regular silvertip , handmade knots by Bernd , would be the choices for this LE , with a 10% more of badger hair on each knot than regular shavemac brushes. Also the choice of fan or bulb shaped knots.

Ill keep you posted in any of these would be available for members outside foroafeitado since I know many of you are shavemac lovers.

Vielen Dank , Herr Blos !

Very nice, Teiste.

Earlier this year, some of the TSN Mods did a 'Mod LE'... 30mm 2 band silvertip.

Teiste,

very few things can get me to write about brushes during the last 4-6 months, but these two just look amazing.

I also have this brush in a bulb knot, and it quickly became my favorite brush, slightly a head of my XL Americana with a fan knot. These are magnificent brushes, and I'm sure you will love yours, Teiste.

Those brushes are amazing.  Any recommendations on shaving forum translator so I can join and do more than look at the pictures.

In December 2016, I messaged Skinny Rogers about the prospect of commissioning a giant Americana with a twist; ebony and ivory instead of the standard ivory/tortoiseshell combo offered by Bernd. The brushes were supposed to be 35mm in size but came out a tad wider. I thought the brush looked fantastic, so I contacted the moderators and floated the idea of doing an "inside out" color scheme of the larger brush in a 30mm size. Bernd did not disappoint here either.

I am glad to see that this color scheme will end up reaching a wider audience. The black on ivory is a refined twist on what I consider to be one of the classic handle designs offered today by the best brush maker in the business. Well done.

Thanks a lot for your idea.I really liked it and picked it up for the foroafeitado edition.I also pictured the Colonia in Black with the white ring and its another winner indeed.

And youre very right : shavemac is the best brush maker out there these days.Bernd have done an incredible job to bring his brand to the first place on the podium.Well done for him

Yes, the Colonia in black is beautiful. The members of your forum will be faced with a very difficult choice with these two options.

Awesome looking brushes and shavemac are just soooo good. Excellent handles and resins, the knots are for me one of the best out there. The 2 bands tick all the boxes for me and then some.
Great shapes and resins available from Bernd who is super helpful when planning a brush
