Proraso Green!

I shave my head and from Fall through Spring, Proraso Green gives me the chills. I had been waiting for just the right time to bring it out and found it last weekend. I went cycling Saturday morning, then spent 3 hours running conduit in a closed, 110 degree garage. I had that deep, under your skin hot feeling that only subsides with a swim or a shower. The light bulb went off, this was it, this was the perfect moment.

I shave in the shower and the combination washing off the day and shaving my head with Proraso's eucalyptus based creme was a revelation. It was so perfect, I neglected to take a picture. Next time!

I have been getting back into The Green. I love the chill that comes with it and some cold water.

It means higher electricity bills, low food intake, limited choice of what to wear and so on.

Up North in India, it's extremes..it touches 111 Fahrenheit at times.

On the shaving side too it means limited soaps to pick for shaving and lesser choice of the fragrances one can wear....

The early summer scents to my mind are citrus or floral.
Alvarez Gomez cream
Esbjerg Grapefruit
C&E Sweet Almond Oil SOAP
Coate's Lime cream
AoS Rose cream
AoS Ocean Kelp cream
AoS Lemon tallow soap
It generally means NO heavy or dark scents.
...You see my gist.

In late summer, I start enjoying a spicy (Fall) scent such as:
C&E Mysore Sandalwood soap (vintage)
C&E Sweet Almond Oil CREAM
Spencer & Devon Spice cream
I Coloniali

Palmolive. It's in my Dopp kit, so it always reminds me of the beach.

I LOVE summer. It means the bike gets ridden much more than any other season, sweet tea, Italian Ice, summer beers, and no more damned jackets, coats, and sweaters. For shaving it is Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic, and sometimes, yup, Proraso Green. Oh yeah, locally grown corn and tomatoes.
