Just picked up this beauty. Never, ever used, purchased in 1990 for a barbers exam and left to sit since then. 1990 is about when the company went out of business so this would be one of the last in a long line of fine razors.

Thank you Ricardo. I feel lucky to have found it and at over $100 less than most appear to be selling for.

I actually received this soap a month ago but am now posting it up here. The wetshaving community is so kind with the handwritten notes and the way they make themselves available to us. This soap is incredible, by the way; I enjoy all of my shaves with it. The post shave is very light and nourishing too. Have a great weekend everyone!

Just left Mystic Water Soaps at Kensington Farmers Market. I wanted to smell the soaps and pickup a puck or two. Walked away with 4 pucks and 2 sticks. The owner was very nice. Talk for about 30 minutes to the Wife and I.

Will post pics and inventory later after I get home.

So as I promised here is the inventory from trip to Mystic Water Soaps.

  1. Lilac - Stick
  2. Rosalimone - Stick
  3. Viola di Bosco - Puck
  4. Irish Traveller - Puck
  5. Lemongrass & Blue Gum - Puck
So because I went up to get the soap in person I bought 5 soaps and got one free. The Wife got Egyptian Dragon as the free soap. Then while standing there talking to Michelle(the owner) she also gave the Wife a lip balm. We were there shortly before the market opened, so her and her husband were still setting up there booth. When Michelle was setting up her hand balm she asked if we had tried it and said the nurses really liked it. I said my wife was a nurse and used hand cream all the time. Michelle then gave my wife a jar of that as well.

Michelle was very friendly. She liked to talk about her soap. The history of the scents where the names of the scents came from. In a years time when I need some more Mystic Water I will be going back up to Kensington verses online to get some more.

Michelle said she was on the forums. If you see this Michelle "Thank You".

Terrific looking brushes. I'll have to ask you to order for me next time as you're obviously quicker on the draw. I especially like the look of the Cleo.

Those soaps and lip balm are terrific products, and I agree that Michelle is wonderful. She is always responsive with any question or request. You also need to try her luxurious bath soaps. After a shower and a shave with her soaps, I've had my aromatherapy for the day and am set to go.

Michelle is an Artisan here on TSN and regularly contributes to our forum.  I have also visited her at the Kensington Farmer's Market and agree that it's a great experience.  Enjoy your products and, as Richard suggests, try her excellent bath soaps.

For Fathers Day may family enabled my RAD with a new type a razor for my collection - A Rolls Razor Imperial No. 2 made in England.  I cleaned it up earlier today and it looks great.  I don't know much about Stropping and Honing blades so I don't know how to really judge when the blade is in good condition.  I will need to get some mink oil and honing oil to prep the stone and leather, but this will hopefully be on the agenda for next weekend's shave!

BTW is there a way to date this razor?  How does the guard work?  It seems useless and somewhat uneven.  I think I will remove for shaving.  Any tips are appreciated.  Thanks.
Steve
