Last week while on a travel adventure I had the pleasure of visiting the Wet Shaving Products World Headquarters in Chandler Arizona. To rewind slightly WSP was first on my radar with Phil's release of the Asylum Shave Works Soaps and Aftershaves. The ASW products are superb performers so with interest peaked I hit the WSP website and realized while on vacation I would be less than an hour drive away. Arriving at WSP storefront I was greeted by the complete line of products and Lee himself who emerged from the back where he was honing some straight razors, a service he provides and has been practicing before his starting the product line.

It was a pleasure to see and sample all the products in person. I even got to tour the production area which was filled with ingredients, scales, bottles, beakers, buckets, curing racks...picture commercial kitchen meets chemistry lab. Lee takes his craft very seriously as evidenced by his facility. Lee was very kind to answer questions and make the visit more enjoyable than imagined. Of course I left with a nice stash of product and added it to my ASW collection. More purchases are likely to followSmile

I would encourage anyone in the area or traveling in proximity to make time for the stop. You will be in for a treat. Lee is a TSN Site Supporting Vendor and has a great website that can found under the TSN site links/vendor list.

I thought the Asylum Shave Works stuff was for Bullgoose. Am I incorrect in that assumption?

Your correct. The ASW products are made for Bullgoose. Here is the original release LINK for clarity.

That was a great stop Ed.  The Asylum soaps WSP makes for BullGoose are top quality at a surprisingly reasonable price.

I stop by every few months, now. The Formula-T is one of my favorite performers.

Darn it!  I was in the area last December for work.  Wish I'd looked into it and stopped by!  Next time...

Thanks, Ed. I've purchased knots from Lee for years, but just now tried his soap base from ASW, which nearly knocked me off my feet, it was so good. Lee is a stand up guy, and always a joy to do business with.

I agree with this assessment Richard.  The ASW tallow soap base is top notch and BullGoose is coming up with some great scents.
