So, my question is do you think shaving this way will have an effect on my shave or not?
Also, I am wondering if anyone has used this method of shaving.

Good question. I sometimes use the same brand two blades in a row, but usually rotate brands with each blade change. Doing so has not resulted in any observable, negative effect on the quality of my shaves. I know what to expect from each blade in my rotation, and adjust my technique accordingly. After having used hundreds of each of my preferred blades, their projected longevity is well known and I replace them one shave earlier than I would have expected a decline in performance.

I feel that you would definitely need to be more aware of technique for each blade.

I remember once I thought I had a Derby in my razor and went with a "more rough and aggressive" technique (which works wonderfully for me)...it was a Feather...there was some blood. Dodgy

In terms of how long a blade lasts varies. Most are 4 shaves for me, a few are 6 or 7.

In terms of how often I change brands, pretty much every time I change out a blade I use a different one.

I have been shaving twice-a-day, Sunday-through-Thursday, and, again, on Friday morning, for the past few weeks.  I change blades each, and, every time I shave.  I go through about 11 blades, per week.

Back when i was working and using multi blade razors I would shave a second time if there was an after hours function to attend. No more for more than one reason.

This is how I do it, too. ~3 shaves or a tug, whichever comes first. The chin will usually draw out a tug if there's one to be had.

It depends on the blade. The Artist Club blades usually last 7 shaves or so. With most DE blades, I change blades after 3 or 4 shaves. If I use a Feather DE blade though, it is one and done.

Hello, new guy here.
I change out after two shaves. Some may consider this wasteful but I like a sharp, fresh blade.

I use Gillette Platinum blades exclusively and put a new one in every Monday so I use a blade a week. I could get more out of it but 6 or 7 shaves is enough

I now shave, on Friday Evenings, as well.

With a good DE blade, like a GSB, I can get 3-5 consistently good shaves before binning. The thicker SE blades, like a feather pro/pro-super, will last between 10-12 shaves. Once I load the blade, I use that razor until it's done. (E.G., I don't alternate bewteen DE and SE).

Depends on how many of the blades I have. If I got 1-2 packs only, I'll try and reuse them 3-4 times.
But for example, I got a 100 pack of Voshkods atm, and those I replace after every shave.

+1 for 3-5 shaves with a DE unless I can feel something is off before 5 shaves then I will change it then. For SE artist club blades I usually get at least 8 shaves with one but the same goes for them; once I feel something is off I change it that moment.

My go to DE blades are Feathers, GSBs, and Gillette Platinums.  The Gillettes I can get 3 shaves from, the Feathers only two.  I recently got some Astra SPs and I find them less sharp to begin with, so I'm only using them once.  I don't like to feel any tugging.  If I had to shave with one blade only it would be Gillette Platinums and I would use them 3 times. That's about 10 cents a shave.  Anyone who is trying to save money by buying less expensive blades and/or using them for more than a few shaves is doing themselves a disservice as the foundation of a good shave is a sharp blade.  Just my humble opinion.

Blades are cheap enough that I rarely push them beyond 3 shaves, or at the most 4 if I've somehow lost count.

Not often. I use Feather AC Pro Super blades in all of my razors. This is my current count -- and all four blades are still going strong.
