I'm looking to take the knot from my omega 49 and place it in a nicer custom handle. I'd like a barber style handle , preferably in an acrylic or resin burl type stock. looking for a really special brush here as I have a coin my grandmother left me I would like set in the handle as well. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Nook.

For your particular project, I suggest Vladimir Feldman here on TSN.  He does a lot of work with Omega knots, and his custom handles are superb.  Check out his thread in the Artisan section and you'll see some of his boar brushes.  Since Omega 49  boar brushes are so inexpensive, you may want to consider using a new one for this project.

Corey, I'd suggest you look at the Artisans section here as there are several fine brush makers who produce great products and are wonderful professionals.  Good luck!

It's a BrushCraft Brush, Chris has an Etsy Shop as well as having been adopted by WestCoastShaving. It was my first artisan brush and remains a favorite. TNG Finest knot if I remember right.

Thanks Dan.  I didn't recognize the handle, but it's quite nice.
