Being in the UK it can take a while to get my hands on some of the US products...So o recently got a L&L soap and was blown away by it. Superb performance and it made me re think what I had in the den!
I know have been on a mission to get more and currently have about 4, one of which with a matching splash.
Great stuff

It's a great straight razor soap which means it's even better when using a DE or SE razor.

I have only had samples, but this soap is top tier.

It performs excellently. It needs to be cured more and the scents are at least initially very strong, but the performance is there. Right now the unscented is my fave.

Cheers, Steve

I have to agree. This is the most favored soap from the past year for me. I have After the Rain, Fougere, and Trismegistus. All are nice scents. I love Trismegistus and have bought Terre de Hermes to match it. Fougere is nice, but not worth the extra price to me.

Acting on a member's suggestion, I bought three of L&L's soaps and they have proven to be a great addition.  These soaps also have a unique texture.  The first time I loaded my damp brush, it quickly turned thick and sticky until I realized I needed to hydrate it a lot.  Once that's done, it quickly smooths out into nice, slick lather.  Very nice stuff!

Dave, I believe L&L soaps are based in the US.

I believe I now have five of these soaps, and consider them now to be top of my heap, when combining price and performance. Nuavia and MdC may be better overall, but the L&L price of entry makes it #1 in my book. (I may have a different opinion tomorrow...) Tabac is right there with them.

I only have the Trismegistus, the scent is so-so, but performance is stellar.

I agree that this soaps performance is tops, I am hoping to see some singular type scents in the future for gents that prefer less complexity. I have enjoyed the scents from L&L very much but would like to see perhaps a nice lavender or sandalwood etc.

I am with you on both counts.  The performance is over the top good, but I to prefer the more singular fragrances.  It seems to be a trend these days to add complexity and new fragrances to distinguish yourself in the marketplace.  Which overall is a good thing.

But to Nova's point Mystic Waters Lilac is amazing simply because it smells exactly like Lilac.

There is a lot to be said for elegant simplicity  Biggrin

Interesting that you mentioned Mystic Waters. The l&l soaps remind me of Michelle's soap base, before the newest version. They have that Elmers glue qualitythat I like so much. Must be the premium tallow they use.

As mentioned they are a US based company (Georgia if I'm not mistaken), and they use grass fed Buffalo Tallow rather than beef tallow.

They did a collaboration with L&L and released a limited edition of Champs de Lavande. It's going to be a tough find, but they're out there.

I tried for a while to grab one , if Scott ever decides to release something on his own I'll pick one up for sure. Until then I don't mind using what's available or the unscented.
