hello all,

they say acknowledging the problem is the first step. I've known deep inside for a while now.

i hope that by coming to these meetings i can change my acquisition disorder into a contemplative honing practice.

i don't know how many steps that is, but feel free to hit me up for coffee and we can discuss the program.

also, if you know of a good book...

-eric

And you don't have to abstain from adding things to your cart for the rest of your life......that's just too big a mountain.  Easy does it..... just don't add anything to your cart for today.

Dear Eric, welcome aboard!

A razor lasts a lifetime. Also a brush. Well, maybe. But a puck of soap will last for only a number of shaves. Therefore, it is the most dangerous addictions of all.

Visit http://www.shannonssoaps.com. They have one of the best, if not the best soap available. Plus Brian (Shannon's husband) is a true gent!

In the addiction department in this forum i found plenty justification to do anything i wanted.

Example 1: "woman of my life, i only have 20 razors, there is a guy here that has 293. I am not that hooked. I am ok. I can get another". It made me feel really good that i did not need be declared unfit to handle my finances.

Example 2: "babe, look, there is this guy Claus, from somewhere in Scandinavia. He lost lost count of the amount of soap he has. A closet full! No, this is industrial, a warehouse!" That sobered me up. I stoped somewhere around 20.

Meet Claus. Read his threads. Such a cool guy. A real expert and a great guy. He can talk about soap addiction. Jajajaja.

Best regards,

Pepe Peña
