Got my REX back today and I must say the finish is equal to the Wolfman Guerrilla (Wolfman being the standard). Any light scratches have totally disappeared. It was well worth the weeks wait and since it cost me nothing even better.

Lets say Wolfman is the standard for finish. The REX is equal in finish and shave.

My Rex showed milling marks pretty badly.  Not very polished or anywhere near a Blackbird, ATT, Timeless, Barbarps TR1 let alone my Wolfman.  I'd give most of those an 8 to 9 with the Wolfman at a 10.  I'd rate my Rex right around 6.  It does shave very well though and should be included in the group I just mentioned.  I love the shave, but the fit and finish suffered poorly due to lack of quality control.

I love the customer service at Razor Emporium and think Matt does an excellent job. If you are not happy, he’ll make it right. Rex is my favorite DE razor.

When did you Order your razor?  Just curious. I ordered mine in May and I’m #202

Matt was great with my return to refinish the Rex. No charge for shipping either way. They had it for 1week and the finish is now a 9/10 with my Wolfman and Timeless at a 10. IMO Charcoal is in a league of its own with the Stars and Stripes handle and darkened finish.

I'm still waiting for a pre paid shipping label.  They responded to my email and said they would adjust the adjustment knob (mine was off) and give it a brushed finish.  That was on October 2nd.

It took me a week or so and several emails to get mine.  I assume it is currently being worked and I will have it back in the near future.

I had to send mine back to have my adjustment dial tweaked as well.  It was so lose past about 4 it began to adjust just by shaking or moving the razor.  I typically didn't shave on settings greater than 4, but it was an issue that needed attention.

Hey guys thanks for the feedback.

Anyone asking about finish - here is the brushed finish that is now stock for this product (cell phone / bathroom pics). All pre-order customers were given the option to have it done at no charge.

If there's anything else I can answer - here to help,

Thanks,

Matt
