Received mine and it smells divine. Did a test lather and it was nothing but superb voluminous, dense, and slick cloud of vegetal goodness. Will shave with it tomorrow.

We'll look forward to your report after the shave.  I like the tallow Formula T soaps, but have never tried the vegan Rustic line.

I chose to go with Rustic for this release because the base has a "cleaner" scent. Ie, no scent. If you're a fan of Tom Ford's Black Orchid, I think you'll like it. Otherwise, the rest of this year's limited's will be Formula T.

Like Formula T the Rustic line of SS is excellent, loading, cushion, slickness and after shave hydration I bought a few tins years ago of the Rose which has not been not available for awhile, I always enjoy my shave with the Rose. The new LE Black Orchard also has the same wonderful shaving characteristics as the Rose and the scent to me is an excellent clean scent. The only thing is with all WSP SS is they have a strong scent to them, I prefer a little less strength to the scent so what I do is leave the tin out and open for a week or so to lessen the scent a little. Black Orchard is an excellent LE soap to add to anyone's Den while it is still available.

Yup.  Some prefer the FT, but Rustic is damned good, too. If you want an aftershave with long lasting scents you must get some WSP aftershave tonic splash, too. Does everything an AS should do. Tones and soothes with witch hazel and allantoin, plus the scent just hangs around for half the day. The best sandalwood anywhere. No flowers and sweets competing with the sandalwood. Lee, don't change that sandalwood. You're the only one doing it pure like that.

I'm new to making my own lather, 4 months now. So far I'm a cream guy, but have tried 2 different soap brands with mixed results.
Today I cracked my new tin of Black Orchid; then Chief Paladin and I went to work.....Loaded for 30 seconds and then onto my face; enough for 3 passes and a bit left over. Enjoyed a comfortable DFS with no irritation. My only issue is I wish it had more "body"; but I'm sure it's more a result of my technique rather than the product.
Cutting to the chase.....Lee's got a winner here! I love the scent and if I can make lather with it; it's pretty foolproof. Third time's the charm and now I have a soap in my rotation :-) I hope I'm able to buy some more before it goes away!

The orchid smells great. It is good for face lathering for sure. Very slick.
