Of course, when our favorite makers of razors, brushes, or soaps and creams come out with new products ... that doesn't help the pocketbook either

I can't think of any hobby or "AD" I completely ended...I just live in the cycles, which are often like roller coasters.  Tongue

Had 125-150 high end badgers in 2014.
Sold all except 12.
Haven't bought a brush in 8-10 months.
I'm honestly done.

Own 200-300 shaving soaps/creams. Haven't bought a new in 5-7 months. Received one as a gift. I'm honestly done.

Own 500-600 full bottles and 100-200 decant fragrances. Haven't bought one since December 2016, but I'm not done with fragrances, just slowing down.

Own 12 razors. Haven't bought one in 8 months. I'm done.

Will perhaps add a shaving soap once in a while, but honestly I'm done. No interest in hype.

I just shave now. No fuss. No hype. No nonsense. I just shave.

I'm done.

With me it might be shaving stuff, tobacco pipes, pocket knives, handguns, rifles, or ammo, reloading equipment, bicycle stuff, books, and what have you. Different bugs bite at different times, but if it ain't one thing it is another.

I waffle between thinking I'm done (or nearly so) and wanting to try something new in razors.  I'm done in brushes ... and no where near done trying new soaps and creams.

I'm looking forward to the polished ATT that Stan hinted about.  I like some of the refinements he made to the head.

I have just become a little more discerning.  With less-than-mint models I might acquire an item if it's a rarity, otherwise these things make great presents and encourage others to take up wet shaving. I encourage others because of the environmental issues re disposable plastic in particular. Other reasons, too, of course. Recycling, for example. I have serious misgivings about our late modern, ingrained attitude of disposability. We often frequently assume it's just how things are done. But we can adopt and encourage better habits.

Over the last 8 years I have had every shaving acquisition disorder out there. However, I did finally reach a point where I sold off a bunch of stuff and settled on 2 brushes, 3 razors and 1 soap at a time. I must admit, it felt extremely refreshing to downsize to a minimal den. Only in the last few weeks have I picked back up with a few brush purchases, but at this point I really have my desires in shaving under control. I couldn't say that 3-4 years ago. :-)

I have been done for a while now.  I still might buy a razor here or there if the mood strikes or I stumble across a great deal, but it happens once or twice a year at most.  Last year, I don't think I bought anything, just used what I had here.  Gaining enough experience to get past the flavor of the month / next big thing is a big step.  There are a few things I would like to try at some point, but I am happy with what I have.

Well, as far as razors:  I have bought two, this year.  One at Easter, and, the other, a few weeks later.  I switched back to the one I got, at Easter, as it provided a milder shave.

I have been using the same razor blade, every morning, for a while, now, with a few breaks, I guess.  Timor blades can be hard to keep, on hand.  Vetiver is the last note, though.  I have a summer one, and, a winter one.  I have a couple of different ones, to wear, in the evenings/afternoons/after my second shave/nights.

I have used the same shaving mug, without thought of changing it, for the past several weeks, almost two months.

ETA:  Now, I want to change it.  lol.

Sandalwood, because it's way cheaper an d also better than the lemon and lavender in my view.

In fact the sandalwood is among he best sandalwood scents I own in soaps........maybe even better than CRSW Sandalwood.

I now own 6 or 9 sandalwood AOS Tallow shaving soaps, that's enough until I run out in 2035 Biggrin
