About 30 seconds before they're sold out!  Biggrin
Ba dum tisssss!  Thank you folks, I'm here all week.

Seriously, I've been following their page and they have releases every 2-3 months but I never get there in time to get one.  Only a handful of brushes each time though.

Not often enough.  You may have better luck if you send him a handle for a re-knot.

Excellent brushes, all hand poured, turned, knotted, and set here in the USA. He doesn't have a release schedule, so they just pop up when he has them ready, a few at a time. He is currently on his third batch (B3) of hair, and as expected is a little different than the last batch, this one being scrubbier than the last (B2) batch.
These [Declaration] are among my favorite brushes ATM.

Is it because you don't like their business model, you think their products are lousy, the customer service stinks, you got ripped off, some other bad experience, something else?? IMHO, it's unfair to both vendor and forum members to make such comments without some kind of reason. I haven't heard of any problems with this vendor and have a few of his brushes. My experience has been fine and I love the brushes.

Wrong, you don't need an explanation it is sufficient that I won't do business there. You see it is none of your business; and unless I ask you to get involved in my affairs it will remain so.

Fair enough, Dan--I enjoy your posts and you're a great member, but for me that particular post is completely irrelevant.

It was meant to be neutral and only my opinion.  Enjoy the weekend.

I get where the other guy is coming from though. Saying you don't intend to bring your business to them indicate that there's a negative opinion/ experience which may turn off other potential buyer which isn't exactly fair to the retailer.

Edit : not that this will affect this business model though since it is time consuming and I doubt he can scale up enough where supply > demand

No apology necessary.  I was just reminding everyone that we're all gentlemen and friends here.

Declaration Brushworks makes killer brushes.  Hands down my favorite brush maker at the moment.  While his releases come in small batches, he has also supported group buys on another forum with 100+ brushes made.  Anyone who wanted one could get one.  He is also tying knots if you have a handle already made.  Just sign up for his email notification for the next release.  I scored a B3 Washington Nebula LE earlier today this way.

I signed up for email notifications on the site and have never received one when brushes are ready, anyone else share this experience or is it just me?

I have received notifications, but I think you have to sign up for each iteration. For example, I signed up for the blue and "regular" white handles, and have received notifications for each, but did not for the Nebula handles released today. I guess one must visit the site periodically and sign up for each specific handle material when it shows up.

I signed up to be notified for each Nebula handle and received a notice this afternoon.  I was checking out 2 minutes later (after a short sprint to my computer, lol)

It's not just you. I haven't had a single notification and I signed up months ago.
