Scores of shaving soaps have come and gone in the past few years -each one touted as the latest and the greatest. News Flash! Savon du Moulin is as excellent as it has always been. It is still made on a small farm in France from locally sourced mostly organic ingredients. Why bother with constantly changing formulas, duffers and wackos when you can get tried and true consistently excellent donkey milk shaving soap and aftershave?

I haven't used a soap that performs better than SdM. Love it, as well as their other products.

Just tried this recently via samples (shavedash) - and its surprisingly good. Really easy to create a dense lather

I've owned this soap for over a year, and realized I had not used it in probably 6 months. I tried it again, and I've shaved for a week straight with it. It's very difficult if not impossible to top the performance of this soap. If I had a criticism, I'd like a slightly stronger scent.

I think this should be a candidate for the next TSN LE soap.

I haven't used my shaving soap in 7-8-9 months. Must soon use it again.

I have used the tempete version about 1/week for the last 18 months - it's one of my favourites
Can anyone comment on the difference between this tempete version and the regular version?
