Not in any particular order; it just depends on my preference for any particular time:

Simpson Manchurian 2-band
Paladin Select Badger knots
Savile Row Silvertip
Morris & Forndran Blonde Badger, 2-band or 3-band as both have outstanding backbone.

I voted for 2-band in bulb shape.  This will be interesting.

I voted 2 band hybrid but it's not really written in stone.

In order:

Shavemac 3-band silvertip
Thater 3-band silvertip
Shavemac finest
Simpson best

Generically, I like 3-band silvertip the most and shavemac and Thater are the best examples.

2010-2012 era Sabini two band.

Most other Morris offerings.

Rooney heritage two and three band.

Wiborg white badger.

Savile Row/Thater/Shavemac.

From top to bottom in that order.

Any knot "Fine" or above is great.  I have Paladins, M&F, and Shavemac(silvertip), a Trumper Super Badger, also AoS as well as 2 Stirlings in Fine and to me they all feel the same on my face after loading with soap.

I'm in the same boat, if pressed, I'd easily choose my Vie- Long Silver-Tip Beehive Bulb guessing it's a 2- Band. It's perfect every way, when I'm in the mood for firmness or softness, it always satisfies me by adjusting my pressure.  That said I have more Hybrid shape Silver-Tips, Finest/ Best Brushes that enjoy when used.

My preferences today are :
Simpson manchurian 2 band.
Shavemac silvertrip D01 2 band.
Thater silvertrip 2 band

In the future with the next brush to buy this classification can change.

I'm wondering what many would describe 2 band silver tip as, simply thicker shafted (backboney) treated hair?

I've been slowly wading into the high end brush waters so I'm still learning the differences of the hairs used.  I do prefer a bulb over a fan though.  My brush expertise is by no means extensive but I really do like my 24mm 3 band High Mountain White from Mr. Quinn

Zach I don't pay any attention to what anyone labels there knots , I look at the knot and say to myself two band , nice loft and look at the density and fan shape , nice color in the hair throughout and the tips look fine and soft. Then I purchase , I don't get anything out of anyone calling a knot silvertip the farthest I go on a label is two band or three band then I take it from there.
