Hello, Nookers!

I'd like to share a helpful tip for choosing when to use "who" or "whom" correctly in a sentence.

Start by saying the sentence you wish to write aloud, but replace "who" or "whom" with "he" or "him".
If the word "him" is correct for your sentence (gender aside), you should use "whom". This is easily remembered since both words end with the letter "m".

Example:
Who has the dog?
This is the correct use of "who" since the comparable sentence would be "he has the dog". Neither "who" nor "he" end with the letter "m", so you're good to go.
You went the the park with whom?
Likewise this example is also correct because replacing "whom" with "him" makes perfect sense.

That's all. Thanks for reading and enjoy your day! Biggrin

Reminds me of enquiry versus inquiry...

Enquiry is informal questioning.

I enquired as to whether he preferred a straight razor as opposed to a double edge.

Inquiry is formal investigation.

The Police inquired into the circumstances surrounding the theft of his favourite razor.

Here in the States, Ben, I think of them as meaning the same but enquiry is more of a British spelling while inquiry is more the American spelling.
