Hi All,

Thanks to 22bulldog, I found out about Blackship Aftershaves.

* I was wondering if anyone had any advice on which scents to try?

I'm looking for something not too overpowering.

It looks like they make over 20(!) different scents so any feedback on which scents you've all tried is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

My favorite is Ghost Ship, although I also like Thomas Tew (which is very similar) and Captain's Pipe. All great stuff.

Thanks pbrmhl!

Is there much of an alcohol burn when applied?

And how long do you feel the scent and face protection lasts?

Thanks,

Thanks,

I don't get burns from any of my aftershaves, except some warming from Co9T. The scents of Black Ship are strong, relative to most of my others. Scent strength, I suspect, will not be an issue. The face feel is very sophisticated. This is one of my favorite aftershave brands, along with Chatillon Lux, Wm Neumann and PAA. I really enjoy my Black Ship aftershave products, at all levels.

Just had an interesting online chat with Kelly (Mr. Black Ship himself).
I'm stuck between these three scents...
Black Rose - I love Rose scents
Thomas Tew - Sounds like summer
Black Beard - Bay Rum with lime and I like lime scents as well

Anyone tried these? What's your choice?

I haven't tried the other two, but being an orange freak Thomas Tew scratches me where I itch.
