I'm only guessing, but I think the only tamed down version is the SB and the only change with the OC is the handle length...

We tweaked the handle and the OC head a tiny bit for this production run. Continuous improvement will always be a Tradere goal.

Can you elaborate further in relation to any changes to OC head, particularly in regards to aggressiveness?

Sure. We made two small changes both in response to direct and indirect feedback (forum postings) from users. We extended the length of the comb to make better contact with the skin during shaving and make finding the shaving angle far more intuitive. We also lowered the top of the bottom plate to slightly narrow the blade gap. The changes do effect apparent aggressiveness a bit, but the combination makes for a much improved shaving experience.

Looking forward to reading user reviews of the 2nd generation OC razor and handle as well as the newly introduced solid bar razor.

If that's the case Richard, I shall be very interested in some further reviews of the second generation OC. I sold my first generation as I just couldn't reach an accord with it. I've ordered an SB, but perhaps I should have ordered the Gen 2 OC. OC razors are definitely my preference. Will the the Gen 2 OC heads be available sans the handle?

Just a quick "I'm at lunch" review of my new Gen2 OC. First impressions; beautifully made and detailed. Haven't plopped the pieces on the scale yet but 1. It's surprisingly heavy, in the good way and 2. It's very nicely balanced, slightly head heavy and very well proportioned compared to my other bulldog handled tools. My first shave impressions; handled great, has very nice feedback and justs hints at aggressiveness kept under control. Obviously, I like this razor a lot. I would give this a rating of "Damn Fine" and built such as it is I would expect it to last many years longer than I will. I feel like I should get another one but I can't imagine ever needing it!
