Another new DE in the works from Above the Tie.
This new line will be called "Windsor" as in the popular tie knot. The Windsor will be offered in both polished 303 Stainless and polished Tellurium Copper (C145).
More details later. Expecting to deliver his month.

They both look great Stan, but that copper is particularly beautiful.  What will be the weight of the copper compared to the ss?

That looks sweeeeeeeeeeeeet! How does it differ from the other ATT DE's, besides the finish and the copper option?

I see the different vents (?) are holes now rather than a slot. How different is the head geometry from the existing line?

As someone who throughly cleans his razor after using it, I could see cleaning all those drain hole taking more time than the shave

The lather channels look great. I like the change. Do they work well enough in that configuration?

What's the damage going to be to our pockets for the polished sets over the older sets?

They are very close. Holding then in your hand they will feel the same.

The head now covers the end of the blades. Had a lot of request for that. The cap extends farther on the blade reducing the blade exposure which stiffens the blade. On my the stiffer blade has a different feel and provides a very smooth shave.

A friend of mine has the new model Corvette. The dual exhaust pipes (four in total) lined up and centered in the back inspired this design.
Pricing will be $199.00 for either. The copper is coated as well. Decided to go in this direction to help maintain the nice warm look.
Copper C145 has a warmer look than standard copper C100 and machines much better.

Looks nice in both stainless and copper, very tempting !

How long is the handle in the picture? Is this a standard Atlas, which for me is a bit too short or will a longer version become available with the Windsor?

Marco

It is a 3.5 inch version of the Atlas. It is the same length as the Kronos.

Good news Stan. Thanks you.

What coating will copper have?

Do you plan pre-order?

Thanks for sharing the details, Stan. The new handle looks great. I actually like my short Atlas handle, especially for a razor I have that is super aggressive, but I also have and love the Kronos, which is my preferred handle for my ATT R2. Having said that, the spiral barber pole knurling is prettier, so depending on the razor, that longer Atlas might be perfect. I do like the polished look. You may have covered this, but will the Windsor have options like the original ATT's (open comb, closed, mild, regular, heavy)?

Did you update the stand as well?  It looks different than mine, but I can't tell if it's an updated design or just the angle of the photo?

This will not be a pre order. It will just roll out on the site ready for purchase. To be honest I believe I spread myself a little thin over the last few months with razor development. This was even after I dropped one project and pushed two others in to next year. The copper will have a clear coat. I am not sure of the chemical make up. The company doing the polishing and coating does polished stainless parts for Harley Davidson
motorcycles. They are good at what they do.
