Hi, I received my latest soap from CRSW  "modern vetiver" and the soap is really really soft, much softer than croap, its cream like.

This is my 6th tub from CRSW and this one has me puzzled why its so soft in consisitancy, its not temp issue!
Background, modern vetiver was out of stock and I ordered as soon as they came back in stock, I wonder if I should air it out out for a week to harden it up,
but I do not want to lose the scent, I like it a lot!

Has anyone gotten CRSW soap that has been almost cream like?

Thanks

I've never had that problem with CRSW soaps.  Can you please post a picture?  If there's a problem, I'm sure Larry will take care of it.

Its like butter that has been sitting out of the fridge for half a day.  Super super soft.  Like TOBS

just let Larry know. Something's not right.

There's never been a CRSW issue that Larry didn't make right.

Wow, it is like a cream!   Larry will take care of it, but I'm curious as to what happened.

I wish he'd make a cream, as well as his soaps. Until you get a hold of Larry, why not put it in an airtight container and put it in the refrigerator? I wouldn't be surprised that is softened by sitting in the summer heat in a UPS truck.

I thought about that as a possibility Richard.  However, I've received CRSW soaps in Miami in the summer and they have not been like that.  It will be interesting to hear from Larry on this.

Okay, I heard back from Larry.  Here is the reason, so if you guys looking for cream from CRSW this is it! Just used it and it was A+.

"This is normal for the Vetiver Moderne. The Vetiver essential oils used makes the soap softer. They also can have a drying effect so we add more glycerin and avocado oil to counteract that. We do state that it is a softer soap on our website.

So, nothing wrong at all with it. If anything it loads easier being soft and comes to lather quicker.

Thank you for your continued support of us my friend, we truly appreciate it!"

Yes. A cream would be an excellent idea.

My first question was how hot was it the day it was delivered.  I dont know about the trucks, but my mailbox gets to furnace like levels.

On the days I am expecting a soap, the wife is on full mailbox-monitor mode.

It was around 80f.  I had gotten other soaps same time and on much hotter days. No issues.  Its not temp issue.  It is just a soft soap that's all!

Were your previous pucks of that same scent just as soft? Unless Larry has changed his formula or scenting ingredients, old and new soaps should be the same consistency. I did notice that Larry no longer uses goats milk in any of his soaps - I have older pucks that do contain goats milk and was primarily drawn to CRSW because of it.

I had a tin of Vetiver Moderne, a year or two ago, and it was not soft. It had the same firm consistency as all of the other CRSW soaps that I have tried.
