hello gents:
Everyone says they both have exactly the same head Merkur 34C and Merkur 38C, but
I checked the list of the blade gap and the merkur 34 has a larger blade gap (71mm), and the merkur 38C has a smaller blade gap (64mm)...
How can it be that there are differences between them if it is exactly the same head?
Thank you very much....

I have a 23C and a 34G and those heads are the same.  I don't have a 38C but I believe Merkur only makes the same safety bar head for closed comb razors.  The variations on the list are probably just that, caused by people with different measuring tools and techniques and getting slightly different results.

The Merkur 34C and 38C have the same heads.  The 38C has a longer handle, which increases the weight.  Also, the knurling is slightly different on the 38C.

ETA:  I had both razors for several years.  One did not appear to be more aggressive than the other.  I've seen the "blade gap" differences on several websites.  I paid them no mind - as in maybe a measurement error or recording error.  Keep in mind, there's more to the "aggressive" thing than blade gap.

Yes. I've had a 23C and a 42C. They shave identically.
