The first astronaut to step foot on the Moon has died. Neil Armstrong dead today at age 82. Before becoming an astronaut Mr Armstrong was an aviator in the Navy. In 1969 along with other astronauts Mr Armstrong flew to the Moon aboard Apollo 11. This is a short actual broadcast of the landing and Mr Armstrong's famous words that followed.

He has done what the rest of us can't even imagine. May he rest in peace and enjoy the view looking down down onto to earth once again.

His moon walk was the year of my high school graduation. I remember it all so well.

It is hard for me to get my head around the fact that he was 39 when he went to the moon and passed away today at 82. I remember the moon landing as if it happened yesterday.

RIP to a brother,an adventurous, and always,seeking for knowledge,man.One of his trips to Ecuador was truly amazing,as well as many other of his adventures.

Neil Armstrong was a very quite man and didn't like publicity. Most people wouldn't recognize or know who he was in public. Years ago he would sign autographs for people but they would turn around and sell them for a lot of money. When he found out about it he stopped signing autographs for the rest of his life.
