Hi

Are the SOTD threads (open &) closed according to GMT or International Date Line or something else?

Only asking as I regularly find the threads closed on Saturday evenings before I've had my Saturday evening shave (every other Saturday).

Take care, Mike

Good question, Mike. i am waiting on one of the moderators to respond, but i think Johnny usually handles this and he is away for the weekend. Hopefully, Phil will answer your question.

You know, I've never paid attention to it here and have no idea when the changeover from one week to the next actually occurs.

Phil usually does this but when he is off line I do it. I usually do it at 12:01 AM Central Standard Time. We are in the same time zone Mike, so your Saturday evening shave should get in, unless you are trying to post it after 12:01 AM.

When I do it, I will try to delay it until 12:30 AM.

Sorry, but we cannot please all time zones around the world.

Hi Johhny

Thanks for the answer and I totally understand "we cannot please all time zones around the world", that is why I asked (was wondering) if a specific time zone had been chosen to "close" the old thread and "open" the new one...

Not always, but last Saturday evening was a good example, I logged in around 09:00pm CDT to post my Saturating evening shave details, but that weeks thread had already been closed, hence me having to post in the future Wink

Anyway no big deal, I was just interested to know if a certain time zone was being used for "closing" and "opening"...

Take care, Mike

He was probably still waiting for that electrician and lost all track of time. Laughing1
