Hello,
I am new to this forum and I live in Brazil...
I am very interested into "Above The Tie" and especially the head R2.
Can anyone tell me how is this razor compared to the Ikon Short Comb (Ikon 103)?
Anyone have used both razors?

I have both and both are nice razors - well made. It's been a while since I've used them back to back so I'm straining to remember what the qualitative differences are. The R2 IIRC is a little smoother and has a little more quality feel but then it is more than twice agai as expensive. I would say you couldn't go wrong with either as you'll be able to resell either without loosing much in the worst case that you hate it.

The close shaving is the same in both? Which is better ATT R2 or Ikon Short Comb?

Do you used ATT H2 any time?

I think the R2 is better but I'm not sure it is more than $100 better. I do use the H2 and it is a definite step up in aggression from either of these razors.

Think I'm going to H2 now.

Thanks for helping me.
I bought the ATT with base plates R2 and H2. I am very happy with it but I in the future I will try trade the H2 for R1.
