What are people's experiences with this vendor? I'm having a very hard time getting any answers about the brush I ordered on May 19. Gustavo was very communicative and helpful with all of the questions that I asked prior to placing my order. Since May 19, I have sent several emails asking the status of my order. The first communication that I received was on August 1 and he said the brush was almost finished. Since that email 3 weeks ago, no responses to emails I have sent asking for an update or pics of the "almost" finished brush. Any suggestions on how to handle this? At this point, I want a refund or my brush.....now.

Better read ALL the threads concerning Gustavo and Romero and all you questions SHOULD be answered.
There are certainly enough of them.
Let everyone form their own opinion, as I have formed mine .... just don't ask me (Read between the lines).

It's a ponzi scheme. Your order will eventually be fulfilled months later.

I put a ton of pressure on him with legal action and various other threats. Needless to say that he is now responding to my emails and is telling me that I will have pictures and it will ship next week. We'll see!

Unfortunately many have heard the same tale.  He won't be getting any more of my money that's for sure.
I'll send you a PM with details since our overlords won't allow disparaging comments about their paying-artisans regardless of how bad they are.

First of all, that is not true. Second of all, Gustavo is not an artisan here.

He must have been 'downgraded' to a normal member then recently since his posts still exist in the "Artisan" subforum.

So far, I only ordered 3 knots from him. They were nice quality knots. A friend ordered for me, so I dont know how long it takes for order to be delivered.

The thread is closed and his last post in artisan corner was in May as far as I can tell. What is your definition of recent?

Guys, I started this thread to just find out if anyone else has had issues with Gustavo and just to find out if I will ever get my brush or should I go ahead and file a claim against him. I do a lot of business with Phil and have always been treated with respect and fair. I appreciate all of the stories.

Have you had issues with him Phil? I know you got some of his brushes in a while ago.

It's no secret that several people have had less than stellar experiences with this Artisan.
That being said, there's no need for some to repeatedly air the same grievances, as it doesn't help the situation.
I'm closing this thread.
