With me it's the Focus Dynamic SE Razor. I would rather hold the DE blade with my fingers and would probably get a shave with far less razor burn, nicks and cuts. The Focus Dynamic has cured my RAD for razors in a negative way.

Edwin Jagger Mach 3 handle and cartridges purchased from Amazon.

Actually the handle is very nice - I will probably never again buy the cartridges.  The Amazon cartridges came in a box with Chinese (?) writing and the box looked like used in soccer game.  I was using 2 cartridges per shave.  Guessing the cartridges were a really poor excuse for counterfeits.  Promptly bought Feather MR3 and Edwin Jagger DE87.  My shaving journey began.

Why would you hang on to a razor you don't want to shave with. Sell or PIF it.

I also collect razors. I have vintage razors that I've never shaved with because they are in NOS condition.

My thoughts exactly... Why would you ever want to keep something with nothing but bad experiences attatched? Life's too short so sell or PIF whats not being used!! Time to move past it already.

Right. That makes no sense to me either. Different strokes.

How does one go about selling a Futur bought for a kings ransom, when there are clones out there that shave as well or better, that can be bought for a song?

I wouldnt wish my tech clone on anyone.  I'm sure it's still in the house...not sure where.  Otherwise I'd toss it!    Cool

You'd be surprised how many people are collectors. I also like to collect vintage film cameras and fine wrist watches. There is nothing really perplexing about it.

It's one thing to collect something which is unusable, like an antique camera.. another to let a perfectly good razor sit unused. I do realize there are folks who disagree, so carry on.

I was thinking on this and at first nothing came to mind as I have gotten decent shave from all my razors.
After deciding that the Focus Dynamic razor is my go to razor for now,I'm going through my cache of razors and blades.
I had forgotten about this one.
The quality of this razor is so bad that I chose not to shave with it.
As you can see I haven't even taken off the blue protective covering on the doors.
I might give it a try when I'm feeling more adventurous.

All my film cameras are usable and I do use them. It's the razor that is unusable and I cannot in good conscience allow this atrocity of a razor to be let loose on unsuspecting victims.
I am in fact doing the world of wet shaving a great service by keeping it.

Something that's technically unusable certainly gets a pass. :-) I do make an attempt to use all my vintage stuff. Occasionally I wind up with something -- two of my Penn and Christy single edge razors come to mind -- which both don't work (I'll go to great lengths in the effort) and are hardly worth selling, that I keep them around in the off chance I get some pristine blades for them. Rare exceptions though.

Years ago I bought a Merkur Vision. Probably the worst razor I've ever used. I gave it to my wife to shave her legs with. She used it until it busted. Then it hit the recycle bin.

Hi, I haveused this razor for the past 2 weeks. I also got cuts etc until I discovered I was not ensuring the blade was seated straight. Since then, the smoothest most comfortable shave. Almost impossible to cut yourself. Def you do not have the blade in properly.
