I don't need anywhere near 10 of each, particularly if they're required to be from different makers. Give me Mike's Natural, Mystic Waters, CRSW and Barrister & Mann for soaps and AoS, XPEC, and Baume.be for creams and I am happy.

Im already down to Tallow & Steel and Sudsy Soapery, I don't need 20 different brands but I'm also down to one razor and one shave brush, so my opinion shouldn't be taken too seriously Smile

Yes, AdP - but I suppose if I can't even remember it correctly, it gets voted off the island!!

The old AdP Colonia cream is sublime - the new stuff performs as well but the scent is nothing to write home about. Not a bad scent, just a very mild and unexceptional (but pleasant) marine scent. It's great for those days you're not in the mood for nose food, but Colonia was something special.

Cheers, Steve

I have 10 baskets full of soaps and creams, many have never been used yet.
Each basket has between 20-25 soaps and creams in them.

I shave 3-4 times a week these days, most weeks 3 times.

If a cream/soap lasts for 25-30 shaves, I have enough creams and soaps to last me 35+ years.........
I sometimes think to myself how much easier it would be to choose a soap/cream of the day if I only had one basket with 20 products in it.

This brings me to the question: What would be my perfect 10 shaving soaps and perfect 10 shaving creams, if I can have only one from each manufacturer ?

What would be YOUR perfect 10 shaving soaps and shaving creams ?

My picks currently:

Creams:
Castle Forbes Lavender
St. James Lavender-Geranium Sensitive skin
Santa Maria Novella v3
Esbjerg Sensitive
Penhaligon Endymion
Acca Kappa 1869 (old version)

I'm finally down to 10. Has taken 7+ years..

Tabac (80%)
Arko X 3
Palmolive X 3
Speick

KMF tea tree and bamboo (1/2)
Trader Joe's (1/2)

I plan to always have Tabac and KMF. Once I finish the other 8 I plan to try several brushless creams, but no more than 2 at a time. I also want to try a few different (from what I previously had) 3T creams, but again, only one or two at a time.

No more piles of stuff and drawers overflowing.
