I've already posted in a couple of threads and decided to do the first thing second and introduce myself. I'm a retired police officer from New Mexico. I don't exactly consider shaving a hobby; more perhaps a curse that, during my career had to be done every day. I began long before the ridiculous multi blade 'things' became popular with an old Gillette that belonged to my father. I still have and use it daily, now that double edged blades are again appearing on the shelves.

I don't have a lot of hobbies. They're more passions than a hobby. I shoot in handgun and rifle competitions in New Mexico and the surrounding states. Once upon a time, if I may brag, I was fairly good. Now my eyes, which are as old as the rest of me, aren't cooperating to allow me to focus on the sites quite as well as needed. I'll continue with this half century hobby/passion/interest regardless.

My second pleasure is prowling old ghost towns, of which New Mexico has many. It coincides with my third enjoyment, Old West history. I find nothing as enjoyable as setting up camp in the remains of a long dead town, building a small campfire, sitting back and imagining the town as it was when inhabited. If a person lets their mind wander, they can almost hear the faint sounds of wagons, horses, even the whispers of the people. It's both relaxing and enjoyable.

And that's enough about me. I hope to be able to add some interest to this site and, if not, at least be able to learn something. If shaving isn't a hobby in my book, from reading various threads, I can understand the interest. I've never thought of collecting razors, or even shaving with any but mine, but as I read I sense a new passion developing.

Welcome to TSN - shooting and shaving is a nice combo.

Years ago my brother was a competitive shooter.  I worked at Caswell and we made shooting ranges for law enforcement, commercial, and the military.  If we needed to test the ballistics of the walls and ceilings, they had me shoot.
