Im very curious when and what Muhle will do next with their open comb line. Going back the last 4 years or so they had the Fatip then the 2010 OC and now the 2011 R41 Tooth Comb. So they went fairly aggressive to milder to super aggressive, Whats your hypothetical guess of what they do next? Or what do you hope they come out with next?

Toby, i do not think the FaTip belongs to Muhle if i am correct. It is from an Italian company.
i think Muhle will stick with the R41 as they are having great success with it.

I think they will just add something to secure a blade to one of their handles next time out.......no head, no open comb....just a blade hanging out there for your daily keratolysis. Biggrin

A new slant would certainly be welcome - although I'm not sure how much improvement you can have over the 37c/39c at their price points.

What is the likelihood that Mühle will introduce an all stainless DE razor? Mühle impresses me as an innovative company that produces very high quality products. Certainly the high end of the DE market has moved to all stainless razors. It would not be out of character for Mühle to have products in the high end market niche.

That would be the only way to make an improvement to the R41 IMHO Biggrin

It would be neat if they did in fact come out with a slant.

I hope they continue the R41 at least long enough for me to buy a couple more. They probably should make different levels of aggressiveness in the open tooth, enough to satisfy the market.

I never used a slant. How about an '11 R41 head in a slant version?

I was just thinking a "toothed-bar slant" when I saw the title to this thread. Glad to know I'm not the only one.Cool

The 2009 and 2010 R11 used a Merkur OC head (same as on the 11c / 12c. The 2008 and prior R41 (R89 / R99 many names) used the FaTip head.
