Anyone else own a tub with the white spots appearing in this soap? I have owned two and both have had these spots. I really enjoy the soap aside from this just wondering what everyone else has experienced with this soap.

I don't, but just from a functional standpoint, it shouldn't affect performance.

My Rose one had it. It feels a little gritty when dry but I can't feel anything when lathered. Kind of looks like pretzel salt.

Don't have a picture handy, but I think I uploaded one the last time this discussion came up.

Awesome link! Very useful information , error on my part for not letting my tub dry long enough before putting the lid back on. Certainly will use this knowledge on the next two tubs I’m going to purchase , thanks everyone for responding.

I recall that thread and it was interesting.  My LPL soaps have not done that, and I don't let them dry as long as recommended in the thread.  However, the issue doesn't seem to affect the soap's lathering or performance.

From what Ive heard it is pretty much a non issue. Ive got a couple soaps with spots embedded in them, a Caties Bubbles, Jabonman, L&L and a old CRSW. Doesn't affect anything. Somewhere some soap makers said what caused it on a thread. Nothing to worry about.

For visual reference. This is not just a top layer the entirety of the soap all the way through looks this way.

Corey, that looks like the issue discussed in the prior thread involving LPL Rose crystalizing.  Cyril recommended letting the soap dry for 4-5 days before putting the lid back on.  I always put the lid back on all my soaps, including LPL, when I'm cleaning up at the end of my shave.  Thus, the soaps only dry for 15-30 minutes.  Fortunately, I've never had this issue with any soap.

I do the same but I do let mine dry overnight perhaps into the next day. I also have never had this happen other than my first LPL. This particular one has become perhaps over half it’s content crystal at this point.

I have noticed it more than usual when I rinse off the soap after two or more consecutive days use.

I thought, and maybe I'm confusing correlation with causation, but I thought I was rinsing softer portions of the soap down the drain and leaving these granules behind.

If they're all the way through and through something else is going on.

Mine is not that extreme. I don't feel it in my lather in use.

How old is your tub?

The first tub I purchased from a member about a year ago that arrived this way , not as bad as this , that tub was traditional scent as well as this tub that I purchased about a month ago.

I had the same issue with a tub of LPL traditional which was never lidded. Also I had white globules in a tub of HTGAM chocolate bourbon. For some reason it did affect my lather in that it wasn't as slick or rich. I put this down to it needing longer to load. Could just be user error though.
