I inherited this brush from my Uncle. Has anyone seen a Simpson CT1 before?

I bet Gary or Mark can id it sure does look like a beaufort to me. Nice Brush family heirlooms are priceless!!

When I got it, the original knot was in pretty rough shape. I've replaced it with a TGN 2-Band. Here are a few more pics.

It does look like an early or prototype Beaufort.

I agree that it looks similar to a Beaufort, but without the ring about midway up. But why is it called a "CT"? It also looks like it came with a stand that has gone all butterscotchy as well, but with the new knot it doesn't fit in very well. I'll try to snag a pic when I get home from work.

I believe its been re-knotted with a The Golden Nib - Finest (2-Band), see here...
