And I think that none of the three existed two years ago, or (possibly) even last year. (Merely an observation, not an assessment.)

I'm looking for suggestions on some shaving soaps that I can try. I like older brands and traditional formulations and ingredients. I also like plant-based (vegan) ingredients when I can find them. But I'm open to trying just about anything.
Thank you

For vegan soaps, I like Dr. Jon's quite a bit.  The scents are nice, they lather easily, and they shave great.  His aftershaves are nice, too.  Country Club for Men vegan soap is also nice, although I think it is perhaps just a touch below Dr. Jon's.

I'm using a Palmolive stick this week and it really is a top notch soap. And super budget!

For sure, you should try Grooming Department - bunch of vegans being released 14 November and tallows also top top shelf.  Best for me due to post shave moisturizing which is unmatched.  Got turned onto this company by dfoulk doing a major comprehensive shop passaround, thank God!  Wholly Kaw also up there albeit only used the tallows.  Prior to that my go tos were ABC, AdP, CF and Xpec so great soaps but the post shave with Grooming Dept is another world as is Wholly Kaw

Arko would be a good option. The smell is different but it kinda grows on you. Wholly Kaw has a decent Line vegan soaps. Haven't tried them but it's something to consider. Ppl seem to like WK in general

For Veg, Saponificio Varesino hands down. Seems expensive but it lasts a VERY long time. Longer than any soap I own aside from maybe Tabac (that's tallow) and Martin de Candre

Martin de Candre is great (depends where you get, but sold second hand often), lasts forever, some few it's drying, I don't have that problem, but have, and found resolve with using more water.
